This searches for one or more terms in one or several fields linked by different operators. AND: searches the records that contain all the terms entered in the various search fields; OR: searches the records containing any of the terms entered, and NOT searches for records containing the first term entered, but not the second. The wildcards (*) and (?) search for terms that share the same root or words you are not sure how to spell. For example, "ilustr*" will bring up the words illustrator, illustrations, illustrated, illustrative, etc., and "primiti?a" will bring up the terms primitiae and primitias. These symbols cannot be used at the beginning of a term search.
